Joseph Sheheen, Salesman

Joseph Sheheen has been a dedicated member of the Lane’s Professional Pest Elimination team for more than 27 years and currently serves as the company’s Business Development Specialist. In his role, Joseph focuses on building strong relationships with customers, educating homeowners and businesses about their pest control options, and helping drive the continued growth of the company. His unique career path—from technician to management and now business development—gives him a well-rounded perspective that allows him to connect technical expertise with exceptional customer service.

Joseph’s career in the pest control industry began after his previous employer closed its Myrtle Beach location, prompting him to seek a new opportunity. What started as a hands-on job quickly became a lifelong profession. He discovered a career built on problem-solving, continuous learning, and making a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Those qualities, combined with a passion for helping others, have kept him committed to Lane’s for nearly three decades.

Throughout his career, Joseph has gained extensive experience in the field, spent 14 years in management, and now applies that knowledge to business development. He takes pride in helping customers make informed decisions by combining technical expertise, strong communication skills, and practical solutions tailored to their needs. Whether he’s meeting with a first-time customer or reconnecting with a longtime client, Joseph enjoys building trust and serving as a dependable resource.

Outside of work, Joseph enjoys spending weekends visiting family and friends in Columbia, South Carolina, playing golf, and relaxing at the beach. He’s also a talented bass guitarist and has enjoyed both playing music and golfing for more than 30 years. At home, he’s accompanied by his loyal four-year-old Belgian Malinois, Bella, who is never far from his side. When it’s time to unwind, nothing beats a perfectly grilled filet or sirloin steak served with vegetables and a baked sweet potato.
